I am the owner and photographer behind Sarah Lane Studios! So many people ask me why it is that I chose women’s portrait photography. I adore showing women of all ages their strength because I didn’t always have that ability to see my own. I wasn’t always the most confident in the room and I sure didn’t want see images of myself in front of a camera.
But then something happened. I became a mother. I recognized that my life had meaning, not only to me, but to my family. We work as mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmothers etc. to give to everyone in our lives. Often to the detriment and our own well being. We are always the ones TAKING the pictures and we don’t realize that OUR lives are worth documenting too! We matter. We have a story to tell…
